The fragrance of the lemon tree returned once more
A gentle breeze swept its aroma through the open door
To the dingy brown chair in the garage where I sat
Savoring the end of day with Rhoda the cat
The beauty of an evening breeze made oh so sweet
As once again I embrace this seasonal repeat
A finer smell there never could be
Than this fragrance in Spring from the lemon tree.
